About Dr Harun Eymen Alakaya

Dr Harun Eymen Alakaya graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 2011. After completing his medical education, he focused his professional practice on hair transplantation, hair-loss treatments and medical aesthetics.

Between 2011 and 2014, he worked at Acıbadem Hospital as a hair transplant physician, gaining experience in FUE and DHI procedures. In 2014, he joined Istanbul Vita Clinic, where he has continued to perform and supervise hair restoration treatments for both local and international patients.

Dr Alakaya’s clinical experience includes Sapphire FUE, DHI, PRP, no-shave and Afro hair transplantation. He evaluates each patient according to the cause and pattern of hair loss, donor capacity, scalp condition, hair calibre, curl pattern, age and long-term expectations.

His treatment planning focuses on maintaining donor-area safety while achieving appropriate graft distribution and natural-looking hair direction. In Afro-textured hair cases, he considers the curved structure of the follicle, natural curl behaviour and the direction of recipient-area placement before recommending a surgical plan.

Dr Alakaya has participated in or performed more than 12,000 hair transplant procedures during his professional career.

Treatment Philosophy

Dr Alakaya believes that a successful hair transplant begins with appropriate patient selection and realistic planning. He evaluates whether the donor area can safely support the desired coverage and explains the achievable result before recommending a procedure.

His priority is to create a natural-looking result without overharvesting the donor area or placing grafts at angles and densities that are incompatible with the patient’s existing hair. This is especially important in Afro and curly hair transplantation, where curl behaviour, follicle direction and safe extraction planning require additional attention.
